The team
Henry and Jo are a husband-and-wife team living between (mostly) Jaipur in Rajasthan (India), the UK and France.
Henry is proudly British, having lived his whole life in Northumberland, just outside Newcastle.
Jo is a 50/50 split between Germany, her father being German and growing up there until she was 17, and France, the country of her mother and where her family has called “home” since. She’s a jeweller by trade but helps with the artistic direction, and much more besides.
We also have some fantastic partners helping us in various places.
Firstly, Rosie is our distribution specialist and key contact on the ground in the UK, where she lives with her husband Jamie, an emerging self-storage magnate and old friend of Henry.
When Rosie isn’t Doon’s Organisation Queen, she’s a successful interior designer and small-brand promoter.
As for the real engines of our business, these are our amazing partners in India: fabric suppliers, block printers, tailors, seamstresses, coordinators, chai-making-lifesavers to name but a few. This is not an exhaustive list, but all the following people are wonderful, helpful, love drinking chai (or so they say) and always have time for a chin-wag. So come to India and meet them!!

Indian Craftmanship
As you probably know, India is a vast country, steeped in history, eternally spiritual and innovative in the same breath. Its people are diverse, eminently positive and embody a resilience that is hard for most Europeans to truly grasp. Contrastingly, it is also criticised for being a land of stark inequality, overcrowding, and infrastructural challenges.
